Set at the heart of a remarkable coastal eco-system, Pegasus has been designed to protect and enhance the conservation and cultural values of its surrounding environment.

Pegasus lies between two of the South Island’s most spectacular rivers. This is one of Canterbury’s truly remarkable environments, renowned for its natural beauty, its opportunities for recreation, and abundant natural wildlife and rich unspoiled estuaries.

Pegasus borders an extensive outdoor recreation area, the Tuhaitara Trust Coastal Reserve, that reaches from the Waimakariri to the Ashley River.
